League dates Mandatory pre shoot meeting will be held on February 10, 2019. At the pre shoot meeting Safety procedures will be reviewed as well as range commands and target scoring. League matches will be shot every Sunday for 10 weeks starting on Sunday, February 10, 2019. We may skip a night if it falls on or near a holiday, otherwise the last match will be held on April 14, 2019. There will be Awards and Potluck Dinner at the end of the League. Date is TBD. Firing starts Mandatory pre shoot meeting will be held on February 10, 2019 at 6:00pm. Weekly league matches will start League entries Pre-registration is required to enter the league. Rules NRA Conventional Pistol Rules will apply. GUNS: Any safe .22 long rifle rim fire handgun or Centerfire .32 caliber or larger handgun may be used. SIGHTS: Telescopic, metallic or electronic sights are permitted with the exception of a sight that projects an image onto the target. POSITION: All shooting is done from the standing position using one hand, and no support is allowed. Match course At the beginning of the League every participant will choose to compete in either centerfire or rimfire matches for the whole duration of the 10 week league. Every Sunday rimfire competitors will shoot two NRA Gallery Course matches at 50 feet. Centerfire competitors will shoot two NRA Short Course matches at 25 yards. NRA Gallery/Short Course consists of 30 shots fired in 10 shot series as follows: SLOW FIRE: 10 rounds in 10 minutes. TIMED FIRE: 10 rounds in two five-shot strings at 20 seconds per string. RAPID FIRE: 10 rounds in two five-shot strings at 10 seconds per string. Awards League winners will be determined by the aggregate of 10 week scores. Maximum possible aggregate score is 6000 points. Ties will be broken by the aggregate X count. Awards will be given to the rimfire and centerfire league winners, class winners, and top woman shooters. Classes might be combined if there are too few shooters in some class. Second place class awards will be given if there are at least five shooters in the class. Third place class awards will be given if there are at least seven shooters in the class. Other prizes may be awarded at the discretion of SHOOT INDOORS BROOMFIELD Management. NRA/Winchester Pistol Qualification Certificates will be awarded to all rimfire competitors who complete the requirements for each level. Targets and distance NRA Gallery Course: B-2 slow fire target, and B-3 timed and rapid fire targets at 50 feet. NRA Short Course: B-16 slow fire and B-8 targets for timed and rapid fire at 25 yds. Classification NRA classification system applies. The league is sanctioned by the NRA and can be used for obtaining an Indoor Pistol classification. General information Have you ever wanted to prove that you were a better pistol shooter than your buddies? Now is your chance! Shoot Indoors is hosting a Pistol League, similar to a Glock shoot but you can use any manufacturer's firearm! Are you a fan of Springfield, Smith & Wesson, Sig Sauer or Ruger? Whatever your favorite .22 caliber rim fire or centerfire (.32 caliber and above) is, it will be welcome. Shoots are held on Sunday night and will consist of 60 rounds. There are always awards and a Potluck Dinner at the end of the League. Join us and show everyone what you and your favorite handgun can do!
